Residents looking to stay active and connect with neighbors can now join the City of Tamarac’s new Walking Club, a free community program designed to promote fitness and social engagement.
The club will meet at Mainlands Park, 4500 Monterey Drive, on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m., with participants gathering at the park’s Energy Fitness Station.
The next walk is scheduled for Saturday, March 7.
City officials say the program encourages residents to get moving while enjoying the outdoors and meeting other members of the community. Walkers of all fitness levels are welcome to participate.
No pre-registration is required. Participants are simply asked to bring water and a towel for the walk.
The Tamarac Walking Club is organized by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department as part of ongoing efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and community connections.
