Dear Neighbors,
As the year comes to a close, we thank you for your efforts during such a challenging period. Our lives may have shifted off course this year, still, we persevered and adjusted our sails. We showed our resilience. We showed our strength. We showed our compassion. We showed our creativity. And we must still remain vigilant and maintain precautions to ensure we continue to move towards brighter days.
This month is all about spreading holiday cheer! On Saturday, December 5, the City of Tamarac, along with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Tamarac Fire Rescue, will team up with Santa and visit different areas around town. A map of the locations will be posted on social media and the City’s website. There will also be a virtual Facebook Live stream at approximately 6:00 p.m. as the City Commission lights up the Caporella Park Christmas Tree, Menorah, and Kinara. If you have any questions, please call (954) 597-3620.
Holiday celebrations continue this month with the City of Tamarac’s Tinsel Town Holiday Drive-Thru on Friday, December 11. Residents will have an opportunity to enjoy a festive display of holiday lights and decorations. Kids of all ages can drop their letters to Santa from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at this free event. For more information, please call (954) 597-3574 or visit www.tamarac.org.

The winter season is an excellent reminder of the importance of family, friends, compassion, and community. While we may celebrate the holidays a little differently this year, I believe we will eventually get back to our traditions. Some of us may even decide to incorporate this year’s customs into future celebrations. For now, let us soak in these new experiences and savor what truly matters most.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2021!
Warm regards,
Michelle
