
Tamarac Community Center {City of Tamarac}
The City of Tamarac is launching a series of interactive recreational classes designed to bring families together through wellness, creativity, and play.
Held at the Tamarac Community Center, located at 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., these affordable, in-person programs offer something for all ages, whether you’re stretching into a yoga pose, painting with flair, or learning the basics of clay sculpting.
Here’s what’s in store:
Family Yoga
Families can stretch, breathe, and relax together in this all-ages class promoting wellness and mindfulness. Classes take place on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. beginning June 5. Cost is $10 for adults and $10 for children, with each additional child just $5.
Family Pickleball
Get active with one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports. Enjoy open play with your loved ones during family pickleball sessions on Fridays from 4 to 5:30 p.m., starting June 6. Drop-in cost is $5 per person.
Family Painting With a Groove
Unleash your inner artist in a vibrant and engaging painting session for kids and adults alike. This one-time class takes place on Saturday, June 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. and costs $30 for adults (18 years and older) and $15 for children (8 years and older). Pre-registration is required at Webtrac.Tamarac.org.
Family Clay Project
This two-part class gives families the chance to get their hands dirty while learning the fundamentals of sculpting in a friendly, guided environment. Sessions are scheduled for Saturdays, July 12 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per adult and child, $5 for each additional child, plus a $10 supply fee per party due at the first class.
All classes are held at the Tamarac Community Center, and payments can be made onsite.
