The City of Tamarac will celebrate Juneteenth with a free community block party on Friday, June 19, featuring an evening of culture, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
The Juneteenth Block Party will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Tamarac Village, 9090 N.W. 57th St. Admission is free and open to the public.
The event commemorates Juneteenth, the historic observance marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States.
The celebration will also highlight Black culture, excellence, creativity and legacy while bringing residents and visitors together in a welcoming atmosphere centered on unity, pride and cultural expression.
Community members of all ages are invited to attend and participate in the evening’s festivities.
