The TS Aquatics swim team enjoyed a standout month, highlighted by international competition, strong sectional performances, and success in Boca Raton.
The team opened by traveling to Jamaica for the Karl Dalhouse 30th Anniversary Meet, where TS Aquatics placed fourth overall. The girls’ team finished third, while the boys earned fifth place, with every swimmer recording at least two personal-best times.
The highlight came in the mixed 200 freestyle relay, as Lorenzo Herek, Sophia El Chantiry, DeVaughn Robe, and Hope Suther set a meet record with a time of 1:44.03. Herek also delivered an exceptional individual showing, setting two meet records in the 100 backstroke (59.71 LCM) and 200 backstroke (2:13.85 LCM).
“I am so proud of the hard work, focus, and confidence shown on the international stage,” Head Coach Andre Bailey said.
TS Aquatics carried that momentum into Southern Zone Sectionals, where eight swimmers represented the team. They finished 17th out of 62 teams, with only 44 teams scoring, and ranked sixth among all Florida Gold Coast teams.
The group secured two top-five relay finishes, including a second-place finish in the men’s 200 freestyle relay. Six of the eight swimmers qualified for at least one final, demonstrating the team’s depth. Ethan Persten also achieved a Futures cut in the 100 freestyle.
“Thank you to all the coaches and parents — this success is built on your support, and we will keep pushing forward,” Bailey said. “This reflects the commitment, teamwork, and heart that define TS Aquatics.”
The month concluded at the FGC BB Championship in Boca Raton, highlighted by strong performances from Amoy Davis, Aaleyah Osouna, Caleb Everett, Ryan Harris, Miguel Moriera, Sergey Peshov, and Zane Samms.
