The TS Aquatics swim team continued its impressive run with another dominant performance in its latest competition, while its head coach also received major recognition for his impact in and out of the pool.
Among the top performers in the High Point standings were Jameela Rashad, who placed second in the 13-14 girls division, while Jaleah Knowles earned a third-place finish.
In the 15 & Over girls division, Hope Suther captured second place, while Ethan Persten and Lorenzo Herek tied for first place in the 15 & Over boys division.
“Congratulations to all swimmers who competed and completed their events this weekend,” head coach Andre Bailey said. “Every swim is a teaching point and an important step in the process toward success. Keep learning, improving, and trusting the journey.”
Bailey was also recently recognized as the 2026 Person of the Year by the People Profile Awards. He continues to make a major impact throughout South Florida after building TS Aquatics into one of the region’s top-performing swim programs. Under his leadership, the team has consistently produced college-bound swimmers while earning multiple top-five finishes at the Florida Gold Coast Senior Swimming Championships.
Beyond competition, Bailey has focused heavily on water safety and swim education, working to address the disparity in drowning rates among children of color in Broward County by prioritizing swim lessons and community outreach.
Following his recognition in 2026, Bailey was invited to appear on Power 106 FM to discuss his coaching journey and the importance of swimming scholarships for young athletes.
