In light of the current pandemic, in-person gatherings have been replaced with virtual events.
Tamarac Parks and Recreation have collaborated with NatureScape Broward and the Youth Environmental Alliance to hold two free classes on how to create a small garden and habitats for wildlife.
From the comfort of their home, the classes will give residents a chance to engage with others while learning how to build a fun and enjoyable garden for wildlife. They can create a self-care spa, small garden, and habitats for birds, butterflies, and other wildlife animals.
The virtual classes will give free tutorials on spa-care products for wildlife that are made with plants here in Florida.
Virtual classes will be held on the second Thursday of each month
Spa Tastic Wildlife Habitat – Make a Florida Friendly Gift, Thursday, December 10, at 7:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m.
Wildlife, Me and Trees Please Thursday, January 14, at 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Participants can register for just one or both classes and qualify for a Wildlife Habitat certification.
