Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through February 8, 2021.
Aggravated Assault
8900 block of NW 78th St – Hidden Harbour Apartments
On February 2, the suspect struck the victim on the head with a handgun gun during an argument. The victim stated after the firearm struck her, a round went off and hit the wall. The victim was also punched in the face and choked by the suspect. The suspect then fled the area. Out of custody probable cause affidavit was completed for the suspect.
4500 block of NW 16th Way – Tamarac Lakes One
On February 5, the victim advised he had a verbal argument with a sub-contractor on a job site, which led to a physical altercation and an Aggravated Assault upon him with a deadly weapon. Surveillance Video Collected.
Baker Act
8399 N University Dr
On February 5, BSO made contact with a female lying in a parking lot area. The female appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs due to her slow and erratic behavior. She then ran into traffic on N. University and was almost hit by several vehicles. The male was Baker Acted to transported to University Hospital.
Battery
8400 block of W McNab Rd – Cypress Walk
On February 1, the suspect forcefully held the victim against her will during an altercation in their residence.
5800 block of NW 57th Ave – Woodglen Condos
On February 6, the offender strangled the victim during a physical domestic altercation. Not In Custody probable cause submitted.
Domestic Battery
4000 block of Lakeside Dr – Lakeside at Tamarac
On February 7, the offender punched the victim in the face after a verbal argument. The offender was taken to BSO Main Jail without incident.
Burglary Conveyance
5900 block of NW 46th Ter
On February 2, the caller advised his handgun was stolen from his car while parked in his apartment parking lot. There were no signs of forced entry. Tot. Est. Loss: $500.
6900 N University Dr/W McNab Rd
On February 4, a witness observed a male passenger suspect exit a vehicle and grabbed a backpack from an open hatchback of a vehicle, without the victim realizing it. A witness followed the suspect’s vehicle and got a license plate. Cash and a wallet were in the stolen backpack. The suspect never touched any part of the vehicle so that no prints could be obtained. Tot. Est. Loss: $500
4400 block of Treehouse Ln – Arbor Keys
On February 4, an unlocked vehicle was burglarized. Credit card and cash reported stolen. The point of entry was the rear driver side door. No prints were collected. No Surveillance was collected. Tot. Est. Loss: $31.
4800 block of Nw 55th Pl – Manor Parc
On February 6, a victim’s vehicle was burglarized by an unknown male. Tot. Est. Loss: $500.
Burglary Residence
2600 block of NW 55th St – Tamarac Lakes North
On February 2, an unknown person(s) kicked in the residence’s back window and stole items. Latent prints were attempted with negative results. No security surveillance was available. Tot. Est. Loss: $26,347.
Criminal Mischief
9200 block of Lime Bay Blvd – Lime Bay
On February 3, a disgruntled employee of Handy Man Services returned to a job site and drilled a half-inch hole inside a brand new installed tub.

On February 6, a reported unknown male wearing an unknown color hat, unknown color jacket, and blue jeans threw something at her front windshield, causing it to crack and shatter.
Theft
7600 block of NW 68th Av – Mainlands 16
On February 5, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s Florida Decal from their license plate.
7050 N University Dr – Aldi
On February 6, an identified female was caught on video surveillance shoplifting from Aldi.
3914 W Commercial Blvd – Walgreens
On February 3, an unknown male walked out of the store with a bag full of deodorant and razors without paying. Surveillance was collected and placed into evidence.
Threats
57200 block of Tuscany Ter – Tuscany Townhomes
On February 5, a victim is reported they are being harassed by a male named Christian. Christian wired $3,400 to Bank of America and demanded to return it to him through an unknown “local bank.” Christian threatened through text message, “you’ve seen nothing, and your daughter’s fingernails will be mailed to you when she’s dead.”
6700 block of NW 72nd St – Faircrest 14
On February 6, the victim stated he received a death threat to his direct messages on Instagram from an unknown username.

Gamboa Duran, Yezid Fernando (W M, 40) was arrested on Assault Domestic Violence charges at 8424 W McNab Rd, Tamarac, on 02/02/2021.
Anglade, Emmanuel Jeff-Alain (B M, 33) was arrested on Robbery-no Firearm Or Weapon charges at 6715 NW 59th St, Tamarac, on 02/03/2021.
Givens, Lorinzo (B M, 39) was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/deadly Weapon-dating Viol at 8941 NW 78th St, Tamarac, on 02/03/2021.
Louis, Christian Olivier (B M, 29) was arrested on charges of Warrant/ Misdemeanor Battery at 6400 NW 57th St, Tamarac, on 02/05/2021.
Darville, Nelson D. (B M, 32) A was arrested on charges of Battery-commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation at 5881 NW 57th Av, Tamarac, on 02/06/2021.
Espinosa Aguilar, Oscar (W M, 36) was arrested on Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol charges at 4019 Lakeside Dr, Tamarac, on 02/07/2021.
