Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through January 13.
Auto Theft
8200 block of NW 100 Drive – Spring Lake Villas
On January 7, the owner went for a bike ride and came back to her vehicle being stolen from her driveway.
Battery
10400 block of East Clairmont Circle – Clairmont
On January 12, a 63-year-old daughter pushed her 85-year-old mother. The victim was uncooperative.
Burglary Business
4900 North State Road 7 – Dunkin Donuts
On January 8, an unknown subject parked a vehicle to the rear of the business. He then walked to the south side of the business and smashed the window in with a crowbar, entered, and stole approximately $272 in cash from the back room. The subject then exited through the rear door and fled in his vehicle.
Burglary Residence
7800 block of NW 90 Ave
On January 7, three unknown suspects burglarized the victim’s residence and stole two vehicles. One vehicle was in the driveway with both keys, and the other was inside the garage; the vehicle in the driveway had the garage door opener installed. Then, they drove off but decided to leave one of the vehicles one block away from the residence.
Burglary Conveyance
10000 block of NW 83 Street
On January 7, the victim reported his unlocked vehicle was ransacked overnight, but no items were stolen. There was a video of four male suspects around 3:15 a.m.
Domestic Disturbance
7700 block of NW 78 Ave
On January 12, the deputy responded in reference to a disturbance called in by a neighbor. A verbal altercation ensued between the parties, and several items in the living room, including a glass window, were broken. The Child Abuse Hotline was notified due to two children being on the scene.

6209 West Commercial Blvd
On January 7, fire rescue responded to a report of fumes in the building. A homeless male was found living in an empty office suite.
7800 block of Fairview Drive – Versailles Gardens Condominiums
On January 12, a golf ball broke the rear window of a vehicle. There was no indication that the damage was intentional.
Property Damage
6501 West Commercial Blvd – Korean United Methodist Church of South Florida
On January 7, a sign belonging to the church was found damaged.
7700 block of Yardley Drive – Yardley
On January 10, a Broward County Transit worker entered onto the property, and the automatic gate came down and struck the vehicle.
Theft – all other
7700 block of NW 74 Terrace
On January 11, a male victim reported the theft of a wallet and its contents from his Lyft ride.
Theft – motor vehicle parts
7400 block of Devon Drive
On January 13, two unknown persons stole all four wheels off of a Honda Accord between 2:00 AM and 2:30 AM and left it on blocks.
9400 block of West McNab Road – Tamarac Gardens
On January 13, all rims and tires were taken and stolen from the victim’s 2019 Honda Accord overnight. The vehicle was left balanced on two landscape paver blocks.
Theft – retail, shoplifting
3150 West Commercial Blvd – Family Dollar
On January 10, an unidentified female entered the store and stole multiple items.
