If you are planning to travel internationally this summer, consider joining the Global Entry program, where Tamarac residents skip the 6-12 months of processing time.
If the city receives 50 or more pre-approved applications, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection will host a Mobile Enrollment Center in Tamarac, greatly expediting the process.
As one of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Programs, Global Entry offers expedited clearance for approved travelers returning to the United States from international trips, streamlining the airport security process.
The application fee is $100. The program is designed for travelers who make frequent international trips every year, and the approval process includes a full background check.
Apply on the Homeland Security website and share the Global Entry application number with Tamarac’s City Clerk’s Office.
CCK will coordinate the second step in the application process and schedule a local mobile enrollment event date. For more information, contact CCK Dillon at 954-597-3505 or stop by the City Clerk’s Office and pick up a brochure. Please note that the scheduling is for the first 200 pre-approved applications received.
