Christian Antoino Chavarria {BSO}
An ex-employee was arrested last week after police said he vandalized the Hampton Hills community clubhouse and took property belonging to his former employer after being fired.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Christian Antoino Chavarria, 30, of Tamarac, was taken into custody on January 7 after officers responded to a report of criminal mischief at the Hampton Hills Community.
Investigators said the incident occurred after Chavarria was informed that he was being fired from his job with the property management company overseeing the community.
Police said the property manager contacted authorities after discovering extensive damage inside the clubhouse, including paint thrown throughout the interior that damaged walls, floors, and furniture.
Total damages, including repairs and lock replacement, were estimated at approximately $3,000.
Chavarria was arrested at an apartment on Northwest 96th Avenue and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. He was later released after posting a $2,650 bond.
