Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) has announced that the School Choice open enrollment window for the 2026/27 school year will begin earlier than usual, opening Monday, November 3, 2025, at 8 a.m. and closing Friday, December 19, 2025.
During this time, families can apply for magnet programs, Nova schools, and school reassignments, allowing students to attend schools outside of their assigned boundaries.
According to a BCPS statement, they are recognized nationally for their wide range of innovative and personalized learning programs designed to engage students’ interests while preparing them for success in college, careers, and life.
Families are encouraged to “Get School Choice Ready” by exploring available options and reviewing the updated application process at browardschools.com/schoolchoice.
A BCPS student number is required to apply. Parents and guardians of students new to the District for the 2026/27 school year can visit any BCPS campus to request a student number. A government-issued photo ID and the child’s birth certificate are required for verification.
