Myrlinski Jean-Charles didn’t begin playing football until the 10th grade in Texas, but his rapid development has turned him into one of the top linemen in the county since transferring to J.P. Taravella High School.
Jean-Charles showcased his growth at the county All-Star Game, where he competed against elite talent and proved he belongs at the highest level.
“The All-Star game was a great experience competing against top talent in the county,” Jean-Charles said. “The speed was high, and it showed me I can compete at that level.”
Now wrapping up his senior season, Jean-Charles has earned 16 college football offers, including one from a Division I program. A versatile lineman, he played on both sides of the ball and finished the season with 17 pancake blocks, four tackles, two pass deflections, one blocked field goal, and a quarterback hurry.
Beyond football, Jean-Charles is a multi-sport athlete who competes in track and field, basketball, and volleyball. He also excels academically, carrying a 4.1 GPA in the classroom.
This past season was especially meaningful, as he helped lead the Trojans to their first win in two years against Pompano Beach High School.
Looking ahead, Jean-Charles is focused on finding the right college fit. He plans to major in Data Science with a minor in Psychology and is seeking a program that prioritizes both academics and player development.
“Academics matter to me, and I want a program that develops offensive linemen and competes,” Jean-Charles added. “Location isn’t a dealbreaker if the fit is right.”
