Bravo Supermarket held its grand opening on the morning of September 4 with a ribbon-cutting celebration attended by Tamarac community leaders.
“Our focus is on service, and we are offering fresh produce and meat at a reasonable price,” said manager Michael Paulino. “Our goal is to have a very clean store and a place where people want to go and shop.”
Bravo is a franchise, and his father, Alejandro, is the franchisee. They had to renovate the existing building which Winn-Dixie had occupied to prepare for the new store.
“We spent six years working to prepare the business for today,” said Paulino.
Many of the food products at Bravo are from the Caribbean nations of Jamaica and Panama. “We have many international foods here, and all of it is fresh,” said Paulino.
The new store will provide career opportunities for the community. “We are bringing good jobs to Tamarac,” said Xavier Taveras, a manager.
