In response to the profoundly troubling images emerging from Israel following an unprecedented invasion by Hamas fighters, the Tamarac community is uniting for the Prayer & Mitzvot for Israel on Monday, October 9, at 6:00 p.m. at Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac.
The recent events in Israel have shocked people worldwide, as Hamas fighters launched a daring invasion across Israel’s southern border with Gaza. The attack saw them storm Israeli towns, leading to the tragic loss of hundreds of Israeli soldiers and civilians, with no end to the conflict in sight.
“There are no words to describe the pain and horror of the terrible attacks and massacres in Israel. Everyone is in mourning, and our hearts are broken and shattered,” said Rabbi Kopel Silberberg.
Goldy Silberberg, Co-Director at Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac, said the event is open to adults and children. Chabad will provide security, and the guests are encouraged to enter through the front door. “Our unity is our strength. We may be physically far from those directly affected, but we can help them with our prayers, Mitzvot, and coming together in this very difficult hour,” she added.
Rabbi Silberberg said the event is open to the community, and he hopes residents come together with prayerful wishes for the recoveries of the wounded, the safe return of the hostages, and the safety and security of people in Israel.
Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac is located at 8100 N. University Drive.
