Tamarac Commissioner to Offer Financial Relief Program for District 3 Seniors

Tamarac Commissioner Krystal Patterson will host a one-day application event later this month to provide financial assistance to eligible seniors living in the city’s District 3.

The District 3 Senior Relief Program will take place on Friday, Aug. 21, from 1:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Kings Point Clubhouse, 7620 N. Nob Hill Road.

The program is being offered in recognition of National Senior Citizens Day and is intended to assist older residents experiencing financial hardship. City staff will be available to help applicants complete the required paperwork during the event.

Eligible households may receive up to $250 in financial assistance while funding remains available. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

To qualify, applicants must live in Tamarac’s District 3, be at least 55 years old, provide proof of residency, submit a completed application, and provide a hardship declaration and W-9 form.

Residents who received assistance through the 2025 program are not eligible to apply.
