This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through July 15, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Burglary
Momentum Solar was a victim of Burglary Conveyance at 6001 Hiatus Road that was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $65. An unknown suspect unbolted a tire from the victim’s vehicle and then attempted to put their very damaged tire on the victim’s vehicle, but it wouldn’t fit because there were 4 lug nuts on the victim’s vehicle and 5 lug nuts on the suspect’s wheel. It seems that after the suspect realized this, they left the victim’s rim on the ground but still took three lug nuts and left.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 07/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $900.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 07/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $200.
CVS was a victim of Theft—retail / Shoplifting at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $163.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $139. An unknown subject stole an Amazon package from a neighbor’s doorstep.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 07/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $61. While inside a supermarket, the victim`s belongings were taken from outside the store.
Asia Nails was a victim of Theft – All Other at 4241 W Commercial Blvd was reported on 07/14/2024. The total estimated loss was $55. An unknown subject(s) removed a plastic purple container, which had approximately $50. The purple plastic container was for donations for children with cancer. The incident was captured via store video surveillance.
Criminal Mischief
Lakeside Apartments was a victim of Criminal Mischief that was reported on 07/11/2024. Criminal mischief to pool chairs was reported.
Tamarac Public Works was a victim of Criminal Mischief at 9901 NW 77 Street that was reported on 07/14/2024. Deputies responded to the Tamarac skate park to document vandalism to a park bench.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 07/13/2024. A verbal dispute turned physical involving a girlfriend and boyfriend.
Arrests
Ortiz, Tabatha Danubia, 21, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence on 07/09/2024.
Riley, Tremayne Jackson (B M, 37) was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on
07/10/2024.
Forrester Reid, Cadane Rasean (B M, 33) was arrested on a charge of Kidnap-False Imprisonment-Adult on 07/10/2024.
