Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Search for Missing Tamarac Man

Update: He has been safely located.

Detectives asked the public for help on Friday in their search for a 31-year-old man missing from Tamarac.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit, Jacob Ellenberg was last seen at around 11 a.m. on Dec. 2 near the 7700 block of Northwest 71st Court.

Ellenberg is 5 feet-11 inches tall and weighs around 250 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. According to his father, Ellenberg experiences mental illness, which requires medication.

Anyone with information on Ellenberg’s whereabouts is asked to call BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764- HELP (4357).
