Morey Wright Appointed as Vice Mayor of Tamarac in Unanimous Vote

Join District 2 Commissioner Morey Wright at the open forum to discuss questions, concerns, and neighborhood issues.

Held on Saturday, January 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lime Bay Clubhouse, the community event is part of the Commissioner on Your Corner outreach program that Wright launched last fall.

The initiative aims to create a more accessible and responsive local government by fostering direct communication and collaboration between residents and their representatives. Wright has been visiting different communities within District 2 each month to engage with residents in a casual setting.

The event also includes representatives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Code Enforcement Department, and Broward County Property Appraiser’s Office.

Wright first moved to Tamarac in 1998 and was elected as Commissioner for District 2 in 2022.
