Rufus is a perfect workout buddy with good energy and a goofy face. This black and white American Bulldog and Staffordshire Terrier mix is looking for a good home – hopefully with an abundance of tennis balls and humans willing to throw them.
According to Broward County Animal Care, Rufus is four-years-old and weighs 70 pounds. He has been at the shelter since April.
Rufus is adventurous, strong, and energetic and will happily go on a hike or a mile-long run or play fetch for hours. However, as much as he likes to play, this pup enjoys winding down with naps — and is a great cuddler.
Rufus needs a family that enjoys the outdoors and an active lifestyle and has the energy to run around with this gorgeous dog to his heart’s content.
To adopt Rufus (A2172077), foster, or take a dog out for lunch, email the shelter at foster@broward.org. To schedule a meet-and-greet appointment and learn more about adoptable pets, email ACADadoptions@broward.org.
The Adoption Center at Broward County Animal Care is located at 2400 SW 42 Street, Fort Lauderdale, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Adoptions are free and include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, and a Broward County pet license tag.
