Last year’s FurEver Friends Pet Expo in Tamarac {City of Tamarac}
Pet lovers are invited to bring their furry companions to Tamarac Park later this winter for the 2026 FurEver Friends Pet Expo, a free community event focused on pet wellness, adoption, and family-friendly fun.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tamarac Park, located at 7501 N. University Drive. Mayor Michelle J. Gomez and Commissioner Morey Wright will host the expo, which is open to the public.
According to city information, the FurEver Friends Pet Expo aims to promote awareness about proper pet healthcare, support adoption efforts, and connect residents with resources for responsible pet ownership. The event will feature pet training demonstrations, vendors offering pet food, healthcare products, and services, and a Red Carpet Pet Parade.
Adoptable dogs, cats, and birds are expected to be on site, with some paperwork required for adoptions. All pets are welcome to attend, though dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
The expo will also include educational resources on microchipping, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, insurance, and wellness checks, as well as information for residents interested in becoming future pet parents. Mobile grooming services, outdoor activities, and healthy treats for pets are also planned.
Parking will be available in plazas located north and south of Tamarac Park.
Residents or organizations interested in becoming vendors or sponsors, requesting adoption paperwork, or seeking additional information are encouraged to contact MayorGomezEvents@Tamarac.org with “Pet Expo” in the subject line or call 954-597-3460. Event details are subject to change.
