Incidents
Battery (Domestic/Dating Violence)
Multiple battery incidents were reported throughout the week, including domestic and dating-related altercations. In several cases, investigations determined a primary aggressor, resulting in arrests. One incident involved battery against a pregnant victim.
Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer
Deputies responding to a mental health-related incident reported that a woman kicked an officer multiple times during transport, causing injury.
Aggravated Assault / Aggravated Battery
A victim reported being threatened with death involving a firearm during a dispute involving a dog. In another incident, a verbal argument between former partners escalated into a physical confrontation.
Burglary (Residence & Conveyance)
Several burglaries were reported, including attempted forced entry into a residence, vehicle burglaries, and thefts from unlocked vehicles. Items stolen included a handgun, purse, and personal property.
Auto Theft / Recovered Vehicle
Multiple vehicles were reported stolen from residences, hotels, and a dealership. At least one stolen vehicle was later recovered and returned to its owner.
Retail Theft / Shoplifting
Several retail thefts occurred at CVS and Walgreens locations, primarily involving cleaning supplies and personal care items. Estimated losses ranged from $26 to more than $350.
Theft (All Other)
Incidents included stolen wallets, cash, cell phones, and other personal items, with losses reported up to $1,600.
Fraud / Identity Theft
A resident reported a fraudulent business account opened in their name without authorization.
Missing Persons
Deputies responded to multiple missing person reports, including adults with prior mental health or substance abuse histories. Investigations were ongoing at the time of reporting.
Death Investigations
Several death investigations were conducted following welfare checks or reports of unresponsive individuals. All were determined to be non-suspicious or natural causes.
Baker / Marchman Acts
Deputies initiated several involuntary examinations involving individuals experiencing mental health crises or expressing self-harm intentions.
Disturbances (Non-Criminal)
Numerous calls involved verbal disputes between family members, partners, neighbors, or acquaintances. In all cases, no crimes were determined to have occurred.
Property Damage
Property damage was reported at a residential complex, believed to have been caused accidentally by construction equipment.
Lost / Found Property
Reports included lost wallets, cell phones, and the recovery of a wallet containing cash, which was turned in to deputies.
Arrests
Battery / Domestic Battery: Multiple arrests for touch or strike battery involving domestic or dating violence.
Battery on a Person 65 Years or Older: One felony arrest.
Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer: One felony arrest.
Aggravated Battery (Pregnant Victim): One felony arrest.
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Dating Violence): One felony arrest.
Warrants: Multiple arrests on outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants, including a warrant tied to grand theft.
Battery (Simple): One misdemeanor arrest.
