Fans of The Beatles don’t want to miss the free concert in the park on Saturday, February 27, when the City of Lauderhill will be presenting tribute band – The Beatlemaniax.
The Beatlemaniax performs classic Beatles songs from their touring years from 1962 to 1966. They also wear the unique style clothing and “mop-top” hair that The Beatles wore during their concerts and play the same brand/model instruments. With their authentic hairstyle, clothes, instruments, including a left-handed bassist – just like Paul, watching them is like going back in time to the craziness and hysteria of Beatlemania.
According to The Beatlemaniax website, “The arrangements have been kept as close to the original recordings as possible, and all members are featured during the show. They perform the hits as well as the beloved songs that should have been hits, thus giving their audience a wide variety of early Beatles classics.”
The concert will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at the Lauderhill Sports Park located at 500 W. Oakland Park Blvd., (just east of University Drive). Don’t forget to bring your chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets (no cooking allowed). Map it
