Tamarac State of the City address by Mayor Michelle Gomez. {City of Tamarac}
Dear Neighbors,
Welcome to November! As the year rolls toward its close, we have many terrific events planned for this month to take advantage of the cooler and drier weather that’s finally heading our way!
That being said, the Atlantic hurricane season lasts until the end of this month. As we watch the reports about the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, our hearts go out to the communities in Jamaica and other locations in the Caribbean that have experienced the devastating impact of this powerful storm. Please see the attached flyer about the City of Tamarac’s Jamaica Relief Drive, with information current as of the time of writing this newsletter. And please watch the City’s and my social media accounts for updates on relief efforts and how you can help.
Before we check this month’s upcoming events, a quick note of thank you to our 2025 sponsors, attendees, and everyone who made this year’s Ha-Ha’s for the Tatas presented by PuroClean such a great success!
Also, thank you to our wonderful comedians, Missy Hall, Flip Schultz and Mariza Brussolo, for making us laugh so hard we started crying! With your help, we will donate $35,000.00 to three fantastic organizations: the Tamarac Employee Benevolent Fund, Gilda’s Club South Florida and the American Cancer Society.
