Residents are invited to get moving and prioritize their well-being as Michelle J. Gomez hosts a free “Rhythm & Wellness” event in recognition of National Stress Awareness Month.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Tamarac Recreation Center, offering a mix of fitness activities, music, and wellness resources designed to help participants reduce stress and stay active.
The morning will begin with a “10K Step” walk around the field at 9 a.m., encouraging attendees to start the day with light cardio in a relaxed, community setting. Following the walk, participants can head indoors for a Zumba session from 9:30 to 10 a.m., followed by line dancing from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.
In addition to group fitness activities, attendees can explore wellness vendors and take part in Double Dutch jump rope sessions hosted by the 40+ Double Dutch Club throughout the morning.
The event is free and open to the public.
