Fresh off clinching the Florida Panthers’ second consecutive Stanley Cup title, winger Sam Reinhart will be trading in carrying around the iconic silver NHL trophy for a silver spatula – at least for one morning.
Reinhart, who scored four goals during his critical shifts on the ice during the Panthers Cup-clinching Game 6 win, will be putting in one more ‘shift’ when he makes a special appearance Thursday, June 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Raising Cane’s located at 5600 North University Drive.
The appearance continues a new Panthers tradition: Last year, it was star forward Matthew Tkachuk who celebrated the franchise’s first Stanley Cup victory by serving up chicken fingers at a Raising Cane’s in Pompano Beach.
Fans hoping to snap a photo or score a signature may want to temper expectations – a note at the bottom of the promotional flyer makes clear that this is “not an official meet and greet,” and that autographs will not be provided.
Still, it’s a chance for fans to celebrate one of the team’s most clutch performers, fresh off hoisting the Cup, and grab some delicious victory tendies while they’re at it.
