Beautifying the city is not easy, so the Tamarac Housing Division wants to help the residents navigate the grant writing process and application for the Neighborhood Partnership program.
Held on August 4, from 3 to 4 p.m., the Virtual Informative Neighborhood Partnership Workshop will teach the residents how to create competitive application packets to strengthen their odds of getting grants up to $4,999.
The Neighborhood Partnership program includes sign upgrades, landscaping on medians and around neighborhoods, hedge replacement, removal of nuisance species, street tree planting, lighting upgrades, and small outdoor fitness structures and exercise stations.
To qualify for the grants, the property must be located in Tamarac and have no current code violations. The applicant must be an active neighborhood association or non-profit organization member.
Applications for the program are accepted from 8 a.m. on August 15 till 4 p.m. on August 26, and the virtual workshop can help put them together.
Learn how to prepare and apply for grants at the informative virtual workshop.
