Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through December 25.
Theft
The City Of Tamarac was a Theft – All Other victim on 12/19/2023. The total estimated loss was $14,000. Unknown subject(s) stole copper wire.
A victim of Auto Theft on 12/21/2023. A 2008 Gray Acura, MDX, was stolen. The total estimated loss was $6,000.00.
A victim of Theft – All Other on W Commercial Blvd on 12/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $931. Deputies contacted the caller, who advised that when she left the restaurant and got into her vehicle, she remembered leaving her purse on the table she was eating at and then going back inside to get it. She then advised that the purse was no longer there when she returned.
A victim of Theft-All Other on W Commercial Blvd on 12/21/2023. The total estimated loss was $620. The complainant had her wallet stolen from a shopping cart while shopping inside Marshall’s.
Publix was a victim of Theft -Retail / Shoplifting on 12/21/2023. The total estimated loss was $315.
A victim of Theft-All Other on 12/20/2023. The total estimated loss was $239. A package was stolen from the front doorstep.
CVS Pharmacy was a Theft – Retail/ Shoplifting victim on W Commercial Blvd on 12/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $89.
A victim of Theft-All Other on 12/20/2023. The total estimated loss was $50. The victim reported a stolen package from the mailbox.
A victim of Auto Theft on 12/20/2023. The vehicle was stolen overnight.
A victim of Auto Theft on 12/19/2023. A 2017 Blue Hyundai Elantra was stolen.
A victim of Auto Theft on 12/23/2023. The victim’s Grey 2018 Kia Soul from her driveway overnight.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud -All Other on 12/19/2023. The total estimated loss was $8000. The complainant placed a bill with a check for payment in the outside mailbox at Tamarac Post Office. The check was stolen and cashed.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on 12/19/2023. The total estimated loss was $937. A Coach purse containing a Coach wallet, $600 in cash, and other miscellaneous items were stolen from the vehicle.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on 12/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $573.
Battery
A victim of Battery on 12/19/2023. The victim stated that she was almost pushed off the third story of her apartment building and beaten with a metal broom handle.
Information
Information on W Commercial Blvd on 12/21/2023. The reporter was out on the lake using sonar and found what was believed to be two vehicles.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief on Treehouse Lane on 12/23/2023. Two tires on the vehicle were slashed.
Arrests
Robinson, Shantavia, Andrea, 33, was arrested on a Vehicle Theft-Grand Theft Of Motor Vehicle charge at N University Drive/NW 61 Street on 12/19/2023.
Robinson, Shantavia, Andrea, 33, was arrested on a Possess Forged-Bank Bill Check Draft Note charge on N University Drive on 12/19/2023.
Edie, Raymond, Anthony, 54, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Battery W/Deadly Weapon Domestic Violence on 12/19/2023.
Arnold, Xavier, Daunte, 33, was arrested on a charge of Petit Theft on 12/23/2023.
