Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through February 26, 2024.
Information
Information was reported on 02/20/2024. The total estimated loss was $214. The victim made a report of an unknown Person(s) using the victim’s bank card.
Information was reported on 02/24/2024. The subject stated her ex-boyfriend still had nude photos and videos of her when the two were minors. The ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend is threatening to post the photos on social media.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 02/20/2024. The total estimated loss was $5,300.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 02/26/2024. The complainant wanted to report that an unknown subject opened an FPL account in her name.
Fire
A victim of Fire was reported on 02/20/2024. When Deputies arrived on the scene, the victim’s truck was on fire.
Burglary
Palmetto Plumbing was a victim of a Burglary Building/Structure reported on 02/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,070.00. An unknown male broke into a construction site and removed copper wires and computer equipment.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 02/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $4,081. An unknown subject entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a backpack containing various items.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 02/22/2024. An unknown male damaged an exterior light fixture.
In Town Suites was, a victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 02/24/2024. Room guests damaged hotel room furniture and appliances.
Theft
Richline Group was a Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts victim reported on 02/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,000. A catalytic converter was taken.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 02/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $600. A Gray Honda Civic was stolen overnight.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts was reported on 02/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $500. A catalytic converter was stolen from a Mitsubishi SUV.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 02/25/2024. The victim advised her vehicle was stolen from her parking space.
Threats / Intimidation
A victim of Threats/Intimidation was reported on 02/24/2024. The subject threatened to kill the victim after an argument ensued at the Korean Church.
Arrests
Crist, Jacob, Martin, 25, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Touch Or Strike on 02/21/2024.
Muller, Mason, Julius, 23, was arrested on a charge of Violence Injunction Protection Domestic Violence on 02/23/2024.
Diaz, Luis, Enrique, 32, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Cause Bodily Harm Dating Violence on 02/25/2024.
