Incidents

Fraud – All Other
Between March 20, 2024, and June 15, 2025, a victim reported $70,000 in fraud involving her property. Reported Aug. 6.

Battery on Law Enforcement
Aug. 5, a subject was arrested after battering a police officer.

Domestic Disturbances (Non-criminal)
Multiple verbal domestic disputes were reported throughout the week, including:

Aug. 5: Dispute between partners after belongings were placed outside the apartment.

Aug. 6: Domestic disturbance resulting in Baker Act placement.

Aug. 7: Verbal dispute between mother and daughter; another involving a juvenile male disciplined by his father.

Aug. 9: Dispute between caller and grandson; verbal disagreement between husband and wife over household duties.

Aug. 9: Mother-daughter verbal dispute.

Battery

Aug. 5: Battery at Prospect Liquors parking lot, 1509 Prospect Rd.

Aug. 6: Male pushed another male down.

Aug. 7: Friends got into a physical altercation at a hotel; the victim declined prosecution.

Aug. 7: Domestic-related battery.

Retail Theft
Aug. 5, Family Dollar, 3150 W Commercial Blvd – $5 loss from theft of Gain detergent pods.

Found Property
Aug. 5: Found firearm reported.

Suspicious Incident
Aug. 5: Caller falsely reported an armed robbery and later a hostage situation.

Aug. 6: Dispute after a car accident.

Aug. 6: Damage and missing lock box from an empty residence.

Aug. 7: Caller reported ex-wife’s social media posts.

Aug. 9: Caller reported feeling unsafe due to roommate.

Aug. 9: Disturbance with a postal worker.

Aug. 10: Information report at a Tamarac residence.

Animal Abuse/Neglect
Aug. 6: Responded to a nuisance abatement for sanitary conditions at 5715 NW 65th Ave.

Theft – All Other
Aug. 5: Credit card stolen from a vehicle at Arrigo Sawgrass; attempted Walmart purchases.

Assault

Aug. 6: Reported assault.

Aug. 9: Simple assault reported.

Fraud – All Other

March 25–Aug. 5: EBT card used fraudulently; $481 loss.

Aug. 10: Victim sent $5,900 to unknown subject.

Child Custody Dispute
Aug. 6: Child custody issue reported.

Burglary

Aug. 6: Three males attempted to enter the residence through a window.

Aug. 7–8: Vehicle burglary; firearm stolen ($400 loss).

Several cases involving mental health or substance abuse crises, including:

Aug. 7: Male inhaled cleaning supplies to get high.

Aug. 8: Female cutting her wrist.

Aug. 8: Depressed male.

Aug. 10: Suicidal male transported for treatment.

Mikeria Jereshea Harris, 23 – Warrant for grand theft (felony).

Amber Ashley Lee, 31 – Driving while license suspended, third or subsequent offense (felony).

Alex Chattaway, 24 – Aggravated assault with deadly weapon, domestic violence (felony).

Litza Sofia Barbeite, 25 – Domestic battery causing bodily harm (misdemeanor).

Victoria Imanie Victor, 31 – Aggravated assault with deadly weapon without intent to kill (felony).

Kemar Wayne Reid, 29 – Petit theft, first degree ($100–$750) (misdemeanor).
