Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through October 30.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft was reported after a 2023 Honda CRV was stolen on E Sabal Palm Blvd on 10/26/2023. The total estimated loss $35,000. The owner reported her vehicle was stolen over the weekend from the parking lot.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on NW 66 Terrace on 10/24/2023. The victim reported a black BMW 320I was stolen from his residence.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported after a Nissan Altima was stolen on Island Road on 10/24/2023.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported after a 2020 Black Honda Accord was stolen on Westwood Drive on 10/30/2023.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 72nd Terrace on 10/29/2023. The total estimated loss $2,000. The caller reported packages were missing from her front patio.
A victim of Theft-Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd on 10/26/2023. The total estimated loss $676.
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 26 Terrace on 10/24/2023. The total estimated loss $200. An unknown white female subject stole a package and mail off of the front porch of the victim’s residence.
A victim of Theft -All Other on N University Drive on 10/26/2023. The total estimated loss $180. The victim reported fraudulent credit card charges on his Chase credit card.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – False Pretense on NW 57 Way. Deputies met with the victim, who advised he paid an unknown individual $11,400 to rent a house. The contract was determined to be fictitious.
A victim of Fraud -All Other on University Drive on 10/26/2023. The total estimated loss $585. The victim attempted to lease a property but was scammed out of $585.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 89 on 10/25/2023. The total estimated loss $250. The victim reviewed his home surveillance footage to observe an unknown male pulling on his car door handles and opening his trunk.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 90 Avenue on 10/26/2023. The total estimated loss $1,976.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on McNab Road on 10/26/2023. The total estimated loss $4,500.
A victim of Burglary Business on NW 76th Street on 10/30/2023. The total estimated loss $4,551. An unknown subject(s) gained access to the construction site by unknown means and broke the locks on both containers, stealing multiple tools and supplies.
Aggravated Assault
A victim of Aggravated Assault on S Nob Hill Circle on 10/25/2023. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, placing him in fear for his life.
Arrests
Arnold, Xavier, Daunte, 33, was arrested on a charge of Larceny-Petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dollars on W Commercial Blvd on 10/25/2023.
Mulligan, Brian, 67, was arrested on a charge of Battery on a Person 65 Years Of Age Or Older on Lime Bay Blvd on 10/25/2023.
Ciarlante, Michael A., 66, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on NW 52 Street on 10/27/2023.
Ruiz Rivera, Jose, Rich, 24, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at W McNab Road/N University Drive on 10/29/2023.
