Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through July 10.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Sands Point Blvd was reported on: 07/04/2023. Victim’s Toyota 4Runner was involved in an attempted burglary by one unknown subject.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft on Lagos De Campo Blvd was reported on: 07/04/2023. The victim reported his wife parked their white 2018 Kia Soul in the driveway in front of their townhome. When he came out in the morning, he realized his vehicle was gone. In addition, his son’s hockey sticks had been thrown out of the vehicle down the road.
A victim of Auto Theft on S Travelers Palm Lane was reported on: 07/06/2023. A 2018 Black Mercedes 450 was parked in his driveway overnight and went missing in the morning.
A victim of Auto Theft on N Colony Circle was reported on: 07/10/2023. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle from the parking lot.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 44 Street was reported on: 07/09/2023. The Total estimated loss was: $3,025. The victim reported his gray Kia Forte stolen from his residence.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief on NW 57 Court was reported on: 07/04/2023. The victim stated that he found a bullet hole in the rear windshield of his Toyota Camry with the projectile near the back passenger headrest.
Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on NW 64 Avenue was reported on: 07/04/2023. The Total estimated loss was: $1,100. The victim advised his catalytic converter was stolen from his Toyota Tacoma.
Burglary Business
A victim of Burglary Business on N Pine Island Road was reported on: 07/05/2023. The Total estimated loss was: $2,008. The suspect(s) used a rock to bust the glass window to the business’s front door, stole items, and exited the rear door.
Fraud – Credit Card / ATM
A victim of Fraud – Credit Card / ATM on W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 07/05/2023. The Total estimated loss was: $52,446. The reporting person advised that her brother’s checkbook was taken, and multiple checks were written and cashed at various financial institutions.
All Other Arrestable Offenses
A victim of All Other Arrestable Offenses on NW 49 Street was reported on: 07/06/2023. The Total estimated loss was: $900.
Theft – Retail / Shoplifting
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on: 07/07/2023. The Total estimated loss was: $839.
Arrests
Duroseau, Myrlande, 31, was arrested on a Drive While Lie Susp Habitual Offender charge on NW 70th Avenue on 07/05/2023.
Alonso, Moses, 44, was arrested on a Battery-Cause Bodily Harm -Domestic Violence charge on Wedgewood Terrace on 07/05/2023.
Harding, Edward, Lee, 33, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on Lagos De Campo Blvd on 7/06/2023.
Fields, Phillip, Marcellous, 34, was arrested on a charge of Felony Battery on Commercial Blvd on 07/06/2023.
Burns, Ian, Howard, 37, was arrested on a charge of Trespassing-After Warning-Structure Or Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd on 07/06/2023.
Shelton, Jamerson, Felton, 51, was arrested on a Trespassing-Occupied Structure Or Conveyance charge at N University Drive on 07/08/2023.
