Tamarac Crime Update: Woman Selling Item on NextDoor Robbed At Gun Point

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through November 27.

Fraud

A victim of Fraud – All Other on NW 57 Street on 11/21/2023, the victim wanted to report that an unknown subject fraudulently changed the company check and cashed it.

Homicide

A victim of Homicide on Nob Hill Road on 11/21/2023.

Burglary

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 57 Court on 11/26/2023. The total estimated loss was $15,700. An unknown suspect burglarized the victim’s vehicle. Multiple vehicle parts were taken from the exterior and interior of the car.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd on 11/25/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,000. An unknown suspect (s) smashed the rear passenger side window of the truck and removed a power saw and a street (concrete) saw for an approximate loss of $3,000.00.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd on 11/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,038. An unknown male unlawfully entered the victim’s vehicle and stole multiple items while the victim was sleeping in the vehicle.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd on 11/27/2023. The total estimated loss was $1939.93. The reporting person advised that his front window was shattered, and several tools were stolen from his vehicle.

Criminal Mischief

A victim of Criminal Mischief on W McNab Road on 11/23/2023. An unknown person spray painted graffiti on the wall along the north side of W. McNab Road.

Robbery

A victim of Robbery on N University Drive on 11/24/2023. The total estimated loss was $500. The victim drove to the area to meet with an unknown subject who agreed to buy an outfit that she had posted for sale on the NextDoor app. Upon arrival, the suspect approached the victim’s vehicle and began chatting with the victim while she was still in the car. Suddenly, the suspect pulled out a handgun and grabbed the victim’s phone, and fled westbound in the parking lot.

Theft

A victim of Theft -All Other on NW 70 Avenue on 11/26/2023. The total estimated loss was $329.

Arrests 

Carter, Jerome, Deltona, 27, was arrested on a charge of Loitering Or Prowling on Treehouse Lane on 11/21/2023.   

Vollen Jonne, Marie, 33, was arrested on a Trespass Other Structure/Conveyance charge on North State Road 7 on 11/21/2023.

Darius, Cleeford, Paul, 49, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 2 Offense at W Prospect Road on 11/22/2023.

Lane, Sandra, Ivonne, 64, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Touch Or Strike on N University Drive on 11/23/2023.

Asig, Caal, Jose, Arnulfo, 23, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense on W Prospect Road on 11/24/2023.
