In an unprecedented year, the City of Tamarac is adapting holiday events to be in accordance with CDC guidelines, and have planned a drive-thru celebration for residents to enjoy from the safety and comfort of their own vehicles.
To celebrate, the Tinsel Town Holiday Drive-Thru will include festive lights and themed décor in a one-night-only event.
Children are encouraged to bring written letters to Santa Claus where they can drop them off in his mailbox.
The drive-thru event will take place on Friday, December 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tamarac Sports Complex, located at 9901 NW 77 St. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
For more information, see the city’s flyer.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the city has also adapted their annual Turkey Trot to be virtual, and scheduled Zoom calls with Santa.
