Nicoy Zain Latouche {BSO}
A man is facing felony lewd acts toward a minor charges after investigators say he engaged in sexual activity with a teenage boy he allegedly met through a hookup app.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Nicoy Zain Latouche, 40, of Tamarac, was arrested on November 6 after a Broward Sheriff’s Office investigation determined he was communicating with the teen on Instagram before meeting him on September 2.
Records show detectives said the victim — noted in the report to be 15 years old at the time of the encounter — told them he first connected with Latouche on the map-based cruising public hookup site Sniffies. The teen reported that he picked him up from a Family Dollar in Miami Gardens and drove him to a Dollar Tree in Tamarac, where the victim used Latouche’s credit card to buy two items he was too embarrassed to describe.
From there, the teen said Latouche drove him to his Tamarac apartment. Inside the home, the victim took a shower and put on one of the items he had just bought before Latouche engaged in sexual acts with him, according to the report.
The teen told detectives that no condom was used. Afterward, Latouche allegedly ordered a rideshare to take him back to Miami Gardens.
The victim’s sister told deputies she became concerned when her brother didn’t return home that day. After checking his phone location, she saw he was at an address on Woodlands Boulevard in Tamarac. The address matched Latouche’s residence, investigators confirmed in the report.
An interview with the teen was conducted at the Nancy J. Cotterman Center, where a sexual assault exam was also completed.
Detectives later obtained Instagram records that linked the username “Splatouche” to Latouche’s phone number and date of birth. Messages reviewed by investigators showed the teen sending Latouche photos of himself and sharing his location.
Surveillance video from the Dollar Tree in Tamarac corroborated the timeline, showing the victim purchasing beige pantyhose and what appeared to be lipstick using a credit card.
Latouche was taken to the Broward County Main Jail and later released after posting a $50,000 bond.
