Ralph Roberson {BSO}
A Tamarac man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following a series of domestic violence incidents dating back to December 2024.
According to Broward County Sheriff’s Office records, Ralph Deonta Roberson, 30, was arrested on June 26 and charged with eight counts, including three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of battery, one count of false imprisonment, and one count of witness tampering.
The arrest follows an investigation by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, which began after the victim reported a series of escalating assaults spanning several months. According to records, the victim detailed repeated physical and verbal abuse by Roberson, including being punched, dragged by her hair, and threatened at gunpoint on multiple occasions.
The most recent incident, which led to Roberson’s arrest, occurred on June 18. According to the arrest report, Roberson became enraged after the victim, who was sleeping at the time, did not answer his text messages requesting sex. Then, once she awoke and answered, he became angry over a text message he misinterpreted.
Records show Roberson allegedly dragged the victim out of bed by her hair, punched her repeatedly in the face, and pointed a gun at her while threatening to kill her.
In a previous incident in January, Roberson allegedly pointed a gun at the victim’s face and told her to give him a reason why he shouldn’t “blow her brains out.”
Another reported event in late April or early May involved Roberson allegedly turning off the lights and hiding the victim from responding law enforcement after she tried to call 911 following a violent outburst.
Roberson was arrested after he called 911 to report that the victim had allegedly stolen $10,000 from him. When deputies arrived at his home, they placed him under arrest.
He was then transported to the Broward County Main Jail and released after posting a $20,000 bond.
Records show that on July 23, a protective order was issued against Roberson that bars him from making contact with the victim.
