Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez {City of Tamarac}
Mayor Michelle J. Gomez has been re-elected to the Florida League of Mayors Board of Directors, where she will continue representing District 16 through August 2027.
This marks Gomez’s second consecutive term on the board. She was first elected in 2023.
“It is an honor to be re-elected by other wonderful, hardworking mayors across this state,” Gomez said. “I look forward to another term serving with the board and assisting the Florida League of Mayors in advocating for our communities.”
As a board member, Gomez will help shape policy decisions, foster partnerships, and advocate on issues impacting cities across her district.
The Florida League of Mayors, founded by mayors and governed by its board of directors, provides municipal leaders with a forum to explore shared concerns and opportunities. The organization emphasizes vision, leadership, and public service, and membership is open to all Florida municipalities through their mayors. Vice mayors and deputy mayors are also encouraged to participate in events.
