Tamarac Shooting Leaves One Dead: Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation

A shooting incident has left one man dead in Tamarac.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Broward Regional Communications received a call regarding a delayed report of a shooting on Monday at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the 8800 block of Northwest 75th Court.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to the call and discovered a deceased adult male at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been revealed at this time.

On Tuesday evening, Homicide Unit detectives arrested Tatiana Tavarez, 25, on charges of first-degree murder with a firearm and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Homicide and Crime Scene units are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause and circumstances of the shooting.

The investigation into the shooting incident is still ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
