Residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of hazardous household materials and unwanted electronics during the City of Tamarac’s Semi-Annual Community Hazardous Household Waste Recycling Event on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tamarac Public Services Building, located at 6011 Nob Hill Road, with access through the east entry gate.
City officials encourage residents to use the service to properly dispose of items that cannot be placed in regular trash. Participants are asked to place materials in their trunk and remain in their vehicle, as event staff will handle collection and recycling with minimal contact.
To participate, attendees must present a valid photo ID to verify residency. The event is open to residents of Tamarac, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lauderdale Lakes and Pompano Beach.
