Fraud

4101 W. Commercial Blvd. — Aug. 4

A victim reported unauthorized withdrawals from her debit card at ATMs in Tamarac. The estimated loss was $2,467.

Burglary Conveyance

Tamarac — Aug. 2-5

A vehicle burglary was reported in Tamarac. The estimated loss was $20.

Bicycle Theft

6900 N. University Drive — Aug. 5

A bicycle valued at $50 was reported stolen from outside CVS between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m.

Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer

Tamarac — Aug. 5

Deputies responded to a Tamarac residence involving a person being placed under the Baker Act. During medical transport, the person allegedly resisted and battered a deputy. The individual was charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer.

Scooter Theft

4017 W. Commercial Blvd. — Aug. 5

A gray scooter valued at $600 was reported stolen while its owner was inside a gym.

Auto Theft

Tamarac — Aug. 5

A vehicle valued at $360 was reported stolen from a driveway at approximately 9:14 p.m. Surveillance footage showed the theft, and the vehicle was entered into law enforcement databases as stolen.

Battery

5213 N. State Road 7 — Aug. 6

Deputies investigated a reported battery at the location shortly after 1 a.m.

License Plate Theft

Tamarac — Aug. 5-6

A Florida license plate and decal valued at $325 were reported stolen. No suspect was apprehended at the time of the report.

Burglary With Assault or Battery

3873 W. Commercial Blvd. — Aug. 6

Deputies responded to the Extended Stay Hotel after a man allegedly entered a woman’s vehicle, grabbed her by the shirt collar and threatened to kill her during a dispute over money. Authorities said the suspect fled from deputies and resisted commands, prompting the use of a Taser. He was arrested on charges of burglary with assault or battery and resisting an officer without violence.

Residential Burglary

Tamarac — Aug. 5-6

A chair valued at $15 was reported missing from a vacant residence after a former tenant moved out. Deputies found no signs of forced entry, witnesses or surveillance evidence.

Attempted Shoplifting

4197 W. Commercial Blvd. — Aug. 6

An unidentified woman allegedly attempted to leave Marshalls with 12 pairs of men’s underwear valued at $314.88. When confronted by loss prevention, she surrendered the merchandise and fled.

Fraud

Tamarac — Aug. 5-6

A resident reported that her Wells Fargo account had been tampered with for the third time.

Violation of Court Order

Tamarac — Aug. 7

Deputies investigated an alleged violation of two active injunctions after a person reportedly went to a protected residence. The suspect left before deputies arrived and was not located during a search.

Theft

7600 NW 57th St. — Aug. 7

Deputies located a vehicle and arrested its driver. The driver was charged with felony driving with a suspended license, theft, and having a tag attached that was not assigned to the vehicle.

Criminal Mischief

4681 NW 58th Court — Aug. 7

A warrant suspect allegedly resisted deputies and damaged an unmarked BSO vehicle while being taken to jail. Additional charges of criminal mischief and resisting arrest were filed.

Auto Theft

Tamarac — Aug. 7-8

A vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot overnight. A firearm was inside the vehicle at the time of the theft. Both the vehicle and firearm were entered into law enforcement databases as stolen.

Retail Theft

4197 W. Commercial Blvd. — Aug. 8

Marshalls reported that a known shoplifter allegedly stole four pairs of shoes valued at approximately $220 and fled on foot. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the theft.

Fraudulent Check

7112 N. University Drive — Reported Aug. 4

Nina’s Jewelry reported receiving a fraudulent check. The report identified Ben Carr as the suspect.

License Plate Theft

Tamarac — Aug. 5-6

A Florida license plate valued at $225 was reported stolen. Investigators later located the plate attached to a stolen Kia K5 in North Lauderdale. The stolen plate was recovered and returned.

Arrests

Clintson Maclean Nicholas, 36, was arrested Aug. 4 on a petit theft charge.

Kervens Dossous, 26, was arrested Aug. 5 on a charge of resisting an officer without violence.

Kenard Lee Warren, 26, was arrested Aug. 6 on a felony charge of burglary with assault or battery.

Hezekiah James Potts, 20, was arrested Aug. 7 on a charge of violating a domestic violence injunction.

Joubert Dvoir Richardson, 47, was arrested Aug. 7 on a theft charge.

Yakine Amar Jones, 26, was arrested Aug. 7 on a felony burglary warrant and a criminal mischief charge.

Alfredo Martinez, 44, was arrested Aug. 8 on a domestic battery charge.

Hezekiah James Potts, 20, was arrested Aug. 9 on a domestic violence stalking charge.

Shawn Edward Mathew Noel, 27, was arrested Aug. 9 on a felony grand theft warrant.

Misha Milan Gillard, 29, was arrested Aug. 9 on a felony charge of battery on an officer, firefighter or EMT.

Brenden Anthony Louissaint, 32, was arrested Aug. 9 on a battery charge.
