Dr. Michael Glazier aims to treat the whole child, not just the symptoms of a disease.
As the chief medical officer at Bluebird Kids Health in Tamarac, he believes it is essential to examine a child’s life to determine why a symptom is occurring.
“A boy might have an earache, but is he also anxious or depressed? I am concerned about his emotional and physical health,” said Glazier.
He was among the members of the Bluebird Kids Health Team and Tamarac leaders who participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and party on the evening of January 28.
Bluebird’s goal is to provide the best primary and preventive care for children in the Tamarac community. The practice offers a comprehensive approach to pediatric care, enabling every child to reach their full potential. It offers health screenings, immunizations, diagnostic testing, behavioral health, and general care. Bluebird offers same-day service to children and accepts most insurance and Medicaid, according to Rachel Wilson, Chief Operating Officer.
CEO and founder of Bluebird, Chris Johnson, is looking forward to serving Tamarac and the surrounding area. This company has six locations in Florida, and this is its first in Broward County.
“We saw a need for pediatric care here. This is a vibrant community, and we want children to feel welcome here,” he said.
Commissioner Morey Wright attended the event and said the new pediatric practice will benefit Tamarac residents.
Mayor Michelle J. Gomez welcomed Bluebird and said Tamarac has young families and children who will benefit from the practice.
Bluebird Kids Health is located at 7613 NW 57th Street in Midway Plaza. Business hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
