A tribute to the music and career of Barbra Streisand comes to Kings Point Palace with Her Name Is Barbra, starring Joy Altman.
The show includes songs from Streisand’s film, Broadway, and concert performances, featuring music from Funny Girl, Hello, Dolly!, Yentl, and A Star Is Born, as well as favorites such as “The Way We Were,” “Somewhere,” and “Evergreen.”
Altman, a Brooklyn-born singer and actress with more than two decades of professional performing experience, has appeared in Off-Broadway productions and has headlined performances nationwide in theaters, casinos, cruise ships, and concert venues.
Held on Saturday, January 31, at 8 p.m., the show is $20 for Kings Point residents and $25 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater. All attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
