Inspired by The Mamas & The Papas, a tribute band brings the legendary folk-rock group to the Kings Point Palace.
Called “The Papas and Mamas,” the group features Natalie Wilde and Julia Gothhold as “Mama Michelle” and “Mama Cass,” Mike Butler as “Papa Denny,” and Walter New as “Papa John,” the West Coast-based band authentically recreates the sound, costumes, and stage design.
The tribute show honors the catalog of the band’s greatest hits, including Monday, Monday, California Dreaming, and Make Your Own Kind of Music, and some lesser-known songs that define The Mamas & Papas musical legacy.
Held on Saturday, March 1, at 8 p.m., the show is $20 for Kings Point residents and $25 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater, and all attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
