Two girls saved a boy—their neighbor—from drowning in a pool in Lauderhill Sunday, police said.
Neighbors told police the boy was drowning in the pool in the 4900 block of Northwest 86th Street shortly before 6 p.m.
The neighbors who found the child were two juvenile females who heard him crying in their pool, jumped into the water, and pulled him out, police said.
CPR was performed on the boy by his family members, police said. When officers arrived, he was conscious and breathing.
The boy was taken to a local hospital for further treatment and was stable Sunday night, police said.
Lauderhill police are investigating the incident.
Additional information about the near-drowning was not made public.
