TS Aquatics Closes 10th Season with Record-Setting Performances 5

TS Aquatics continued its impressive championship season with standout performances across multiple meets, collecting relay victories, team records, championship medals and national-record performances.

The club made history at the 2026 TYR Futures Championships, competing against more than 90 teams and finishing 14th overall in the men’s standings and 25th in the combined team standings. The performance marked the program’s highest point total in meet history, surpassing its previous best set in 2022.

The team posted season-best performances in all five relays, highlighted by three Top-10 relay finishes and two Top-8 medal-winning relays. TS Aquatics also established three new team records during the meet.

Individually, Tajhari Williams earned a Winter Junior National qualifying cut while setting the Turks and Caicos National Record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.49 seconds. Francisco Cevallos added an Olympic Trials qualifying cut and broke the Ecuadorian National Records in both the 100 breaststroke (1:02.58) and 200 breaststroke (2:17.02).

The championship marked TS Aquatics’ sixth appearance at the Futures Championships and its fourth in the last five years, continuing the club’s rise as one of South Florida’s premier swimming programs.

At the 2026 Florida Gold Coast Senior Championships, TS Aquatics finished fourth overall in the women’s, men’s and combined team standings. The meet was highlighted by first-place finishes in the women’s 4×100 freestyle relay, which posted a new Futures qualifying time, and the men’s 4×50 freestyle relay, which finished just 0.03 seconds shy of the team record.

The men’s 4×100 freestyle relay also established a new team record, while three swimmers earned new sectional qualifying standards. Williams added another historic achievement by setting a 15-18 Turks and Caicos National Record in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 52.93 seconds.

The club also excelled at the 2026 Long Course Age Group Championships, earning seven championship medals, with five of its eight individual swimmers qualifying for finals. TS Aquatics recorded an 80 percent personal-best improvement rate, with 12 of 13 relay swims producing lifetime bests.

The team also established two additional team records and added another sectional qualifier, continuing the program’s momentum heading into the remainder of the championship season.

Earlier in the month, TS Aquatics opened its championship stretch with a dominant showing at the Florida Gold Coast Long Course BB Championships. The team produced 15 new championship cuts, captured 10 event victories and continued to build depth throughout the program.

With its 10th season nearing its conclusion, TS Aquatics is now looking ahead to the future. The club is holding free tryouts for prospective swimmers Monday through Friday at 5:30 p.m. as it looks to welcome the next generation of athletes to the program following the graduation of several veteran swimmers.
