Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through August 10.
Auto Theft
4500 block of NW 48th Ter – Hidden Trails
On August 9, car keys left were inside the vehicle and doors unlocked. No surveillance was available. The car was a 2020 white Hyundai palisade.
Battery
5400 block of NW 56th Ct
On August 5, during a heated argument, the husband battered his wife over a previous argument from the night before.
5223 N State Road 7 – Sunrise Liquors
On August 8, an unknown male refused to leave the establishment after being told by the owner. The male became agitated and punched the owner in the face about two to three times.
Burglary Conveyance
7800 block of S Colony Circle – Versailles Gardens Condos
On August 5, an unlocked vehicle with cash, ID, and credit/debit card stolen. Fraudulent use of credit/debit card. No video. Two Latent prints lifted.
7900 block of N Colony Cir – Versailles Gardens Condos
On August 8, the victim said he left his wallet and papers in his vehicle, and an unknown suspect burglarized it.

6190 block of Pine Tree Ln – Banyan Lakes
On August 6, a woman noticed a male approx 25 years of age driving a white Kia Rio approach and open the mailboxes to her and her neighbor’s homes. When confronted, the subject stated he lived there and sped off. She stated this is the second time she has seen the subject approach their mailboxes driving the same car each time. No items were missing at this time.
Domestic Disturbance
7000 block of NW 80th Ct – Heathgate/Sunflower
On August 7, BSO responded to the above location about a domestic dispute with a weapon involved between the victim and his husband.
Fire
3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS parking lot
On August 4, a 2005 Dodge Caravan caught on fire. Tamarac Fire Rescue extinguished the fire.
Fraud
3116 W Commercial Blvd – Winn Dixie
On August 1, a victim wanted to report fraudulent transactions on his Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.
Lost Property
4999 W Commercial Blvd – 7 Eleven
On August 9, a man advised on August 8, while he was at the 7 Eleven he had a Walgreens plastic bag with his medication (D-Amphetamine Salt Combo 20 MG Tablets)90 pills inside his bookbag that was inside the vehicle and valued was around $48.00. His bookbag had fallen onto the ground and then be bent over to picked up everything and placed it back in his book bag. When he got back to his office, and he went to check his bookbag for his medication, it was missing.
Suspicious Incident
4900 block of E Sabal Palm Blvd – Lakes of Carriage Hills
On August 4, a suspicious incident in which the complainant reported after she heard an explosion-like noise, her front door glass was shattered.
Property Damage
7900 block of S Colony Cir Versailles Gardens Condos
On August 6, The victim had a golf ball hit her bedroom window, causing a hole in the window.
Recovered Auto
7305 W Commercial Blvd – Pep Boys Auto
On August 6, a Pep Boy’s service technician called about a motorcycle he believed to be stolen. The Tao Motor – Racer 50 had no tag attached and visible damage to the ignition. A check revealed the vehicle to be taken out of Lauderhill.
Robbery
7900 block of Catalina Cir – Catalina
On August 9, a multiple party dispute ended with the victim being struck by a bottle. Uncooperative victim.
Theft/Retail Shoplifting
8199 N University Dr – Walgreens
On August 4, a male and female suspect stole makeup and other items valued at $229.91 and fled in a white Dodge.
3914 W Commercial Blvd – Walgreens
On August 3, a male and female accomplice entered the store, loaded a shopping cart with personal hygiene items, and left without paying.
3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS
On August 6, two female suspects entered the store and exited with multiple shavers passing all points of sale without paying. The suspects believed to be the same suspects on a different theft incident that occurred the night before at the same store.
7901 W Commercial Blvd – 7 Eleven
On August 8, two unknown males passed all points of sale without paying for four boxes of beer.

Smith, Martin E. (B M, 48) was arrested on charges of Aggrav Assault- Weapon-w Deadly Weapon Without Intent To Kill at 9000 Preston Pl, Tamarac, on 08/05/2020.
Burns, Ian Howard (W M, 34) was arrested on charges of Warrant, at 4121 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 08/05/2020.
Caballero, Jorge Miguel (W M, 34) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 5449 Nw 56th Ct, Tamarac, on 08/05/2020.
Myers, Lloyd Antony (B M, 37) was arrested on charges of Warrant – Driving While License Revoked at 9079 Preston Pl, Tamarac, on 08/06/2020.
Sisco, Tasker Jahmar (B M, 37) was arrested on charges of Aggrav Assault- Weapon-w Deadly Weapon Without Intent To Kill at 82 Pleasant Hill Ln, Tamarac, on 08/09/2020.
