Firefighters rescued a person from inside a burning home in Tamarac Thursday morning, authorities said.
The fire was reported at the single-family home in the 4400 block of Northwest 44th Way at 10:41 a.m., said Tamarac Fire Rescue spokesman Van Schoen.
Tamarac firefighters rescued the person as the home was engulfed in flames. The patient was taken to Broward Health North for treatment.
The fire was out as of 11:35 a.m. after firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, Schoen said.
Investigators were on the scene working to determine the cause of the fire, he said.
