Authorities found a car with a dead person inside submerged in a Tamarac canal Monday, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly after noon on Monday, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a vehicle in the canal near North University Drive and Southgate Boulevard. BSO deputies, Tamarac Fire Rescue, Coral Springs Parkland Fire Rescue, and Coral Springs Police all responded to the scene. BSO’s Dive team was also requested.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a car was submerged in the canal with a dead person inside. BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit was at the scene Monday afternoon investigating.
No additional details were immediately made public by BSO.
