Local singer Amanda Cohen is bringing an uplifting and nostalgic Great American Songbook show to Kings Point Palace.
Cohen, a professional singer and performer from Delray Beach, FL, released three albums and had a one-woman show with her jazz band.
Her selection of timeless standards from The Great American Songbook includes signature hits by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sophie Tucker, Judy Garland, Al Jolson, Patti Page, and Jimmy Roselli. During the show, Cohen shares some history about the songs and the artists who made them famous.
The show, which will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 8 p.m., is $10 for Kings Point residents and $15 for guests. Tickets are available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater, and all attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
