A Tamarac man is facing multiple second-degree felony charges after confessing to law enforcement that he made two bomb threats against HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital.
On July 15, the Broward Sherriff’s Office arrested Guerdouin Montimere, 36, on charges that he allegedly made two false bomb threats targeting HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital. Montimere reportedly provided his name and address in the calls, making the response and investigation into the threats swift.
According to records, Montimere made two bomb threats via calls to the Crime Stoppers hotline.
Detailed records of the calls show that at 10:54 a.m., Montimere called Crime Stoppers, stating, “I am going to blow up this hospital at 7201 North University Drive, Woodmont Hospital,” further adding, “It was me, Guerdouin Montimere I’m at 6712 Northwest 57th Drive, Tamarac, FL 33321.”
Montimere then repeated this threat in another call at 11:13 a.m.
Law enforcement officials quickly traced the IP address of the calls to the address Montimere provided. Deputies established surveillance and subsequently detained him at his residence.
During a post-Miranda interview, Montimere confessed to making the threats and confirmed that he used his LG cellphone to place the calls.
Montimere was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he was held without bond.
